JOB DESCRIPTION:
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Marketing Programs Manager contributes to the development of key elements of GFD’s marketing strategy. Learn more about GFD’s mission here. This position identifies, recommends, and develops brand position strategies, and implements marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments. This position also analyzes member insights and industry trends and recommends best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Development of key marketing initiatives, providing subject matter expertise, thought leadership, and resource support.
• Implementation of marketing projects from start to finish, leveraging internal support and encouraging collaboration.
• Identify, recommend, and develop brand positioning strategies including identifying target audiences, and recommending and implementing marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments.
• Create and own the marketing communication and content strategy, develop quarterly communications plans and execute on the plans.
• Develop, recommend, and implement various elements of GFD digital strategy including via email, social media, webinars and podcasts.
• Conceptualize, plan and execute GFD corporate events.
• Monitor and protect the GFD brand by reviewing materials, ensuring campaigns and marketing collateral are aligned with strategy, and confirming they are being implemented as intended.
• Analyze member insights, industry trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies, increase member conversions and generate more qualified leads.
• Lead and own website strategy, including incorporating strong SEO tactics.
• Provide support with other external and internal events, including planning and logistics.
• Work with Business Development Team to design, test, and evolve lead-nurturing tactics.

SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in marketing or communications
• 5 years of progressive marketing experience
• experience working in the financial services or a related industry strongly preferred
• Experience leading projects.
• Tech-savvy with a deep understanding of the MarComm tech stack
• Experience using Microsoft Office, WordPress and MailChimp
• Experience using Adobe Suite an asset
